Wonderful galician pazo in villaba. The Pazo is located in a fantastic setting, 15 minutes from Villalba, 5 minutes drive from the Magdalena River crossing. It is 35 minutes from Lugo. At 5 minutes we have a mill of the Concello for workshops, and from there starts the walkway of the Magdalena. The construction of the Pazo was started at the end of the XVII century and finished in the XVIII century … The entrance is a magical track called Paseo del Conde de Pallares, in honour of the former inhabitant of Pazo, sheltered on both sides by chestnut trees that lead to the entrance to the chapel. The main building has 3 floors. It has two entrances, one at the back of the road, which leads to the basement and the first floor. Main entrance: granite entrance with two entrances to the granite stairs. Right hand right hand the salting room and left hand what used to be the billiard room. These are two very interesting spaces for hotel use. Basement: inhabited by the keepers and accessed from the outside through a small courtyard at one of the rear entrances. It is made up of a large kitchen, a dining room, a bedroom and the stables.… today it could be restored for different uses. Floor 1: It has two entrances, one at the front and the other at the back, which leads to the garden area. We find a well equipped kitchen, where an antique dishwasher; one of the first ones stands out. On the right hand side: living room – 1 bedroom – living room – 2nd bedroom. Right hand side: complete bathroom – 1 bedroom – Count’s bedroom with dressing room and bedroom with exit to the balcony and next to it another bedroom with two beds. Granite stairs, courtesy bathroom leading down to the courtyard, where the old stables border the courtyard in a “U” shape. From this courtyard there is access to the outside path. On this same first floor, and with access to the chapel, we have a study room, with access to a granite balcony from which you can see the entire property. It gives us visual access to the northwest garden. The chapel is perfectly preserved and has been used for mass until a year ago. It is accessed from the outside. From the granite terrace we can see the approximately 2.5 hectares that completely surround the pazo: a 1.200m2 property bordered by stone walls, and in the west corner we have a granite crescent as a fountain, which in the past was continuously supplied by a natural water mine that belongs to the property, today, the water does not flow, maybe the accesses are not good. From the hórreo to the road belongs to the property (1.8 ha more or less), and on the right hand side (seen from the granite terrace) the first corner does not belong to the property and some 7.000m2 to the road belong to the property. In total: 2.5ha approx. Floor 2: the stairs lead to a space used as a living room and communicating with two bifurcations. In total we have 5 rooms (two on the left and 3 on the right), a courtesy bathroom and another open space at the junction of the bifurcation which is used for 2 rooms. The water is from the mains, it has a well which was used until 2022. It is sold mostly furnished, except for a few pieces of furniture of sentimental value. The atmosphere is one of peace, of old books, of deep studies, of infinite possibilities. The visit alone makes you think of infinite possibilities for the new inhabitants.
