Description This house is in the area of Roupar, Lugo. Roupar is located in the north-western end of the region A terra cha (The flat land). It belongs to the municipality of Xermade. It is a few kilometres from the Fragas do Eume Natural Park. About 30 minutes from Roupar, we find the Viveiro estuary and its magnificent beaches. Roupar is a quiet corner in the most peaceful area of Galicia. But surrounded, just a few minutes away, by the main attractions of the Galician region: its forests and the immense sea. And in between, all the richness of a land where time has not stopped, but where it does slow down. In this part of Galicia, you will find ethnographic remains of great interest, impressive religious buildings, incomparable “inland” gastronomy, and popular festivals, fairs and millenary customs that will take the visitor back to distant times. The houses There are two dwellings joined together in the same house. In the centre of the village of Roupar. The building, with two floors plus an attic, has a surface area of approximately 200 m2 per floor. If we add the three levels together, we get a usable space of approximately 550 m2. Both dwellings have interior communication, being able to pass from one to the other. The houses, with small changes, could easily be transformed into a tourist business, such as a B&B or similar, as we already have a beautiful bar with a fireplace in perfect condition. Two kitchens, five bedrooms, a living room with fireplace as well, and multiple rooms that could be converted into even more bedrooms if necessary. It also has a lovely west facing gallery. In all rooms there is plenty of light. There are also two large attics of which approximately 80% of the surface area can be used. From almost every room we can see the church which adjoins the house on the south side. The church is a beauty with the peculiarity of having its bell tower separated from the church itself. The house has water, electricity and sewage. The land As a whole, the two houses of Roupar are on the same plot of land of more than 4.000 m2. There is a large shed with space for six cars, of about 130 m2. There is also a granary (Horreo). And another shed, of about 25 m2, used as a workshop and wine cellar. All the buildings are in a very good state of conservation and could be moved into at any time.
