Torvizcón is a Spanish town and municipality located in the southern part of the Alpujarra Granadina region, in the province of Granada, autonomous community of Andalusia. It limits with the municipalities of Órgiva, La Taha, Almegíjar, Cástaras, Albondón, Sorvilán and Polopos. The Guadalfeo river and the Torvizcón, Barbacana, Bordavarela and Valenciano boulevards run through its terminus. The municipality of Torvizcon includes the population centers of Torvizcón —municipal capital— Salas-Contraviesa and La Dehesa, as well as the scattered ones of La Cámara, Haza del Lino, Piedras Blancas, Venta del Chaparro and Ventilla de Bolina, among others. Its main crops are almond trees, vines and fig trees. Much of its territory is within the Historic Site of the Alpujarra.
