This village house is beautifully presented, having recently undergone renovations to include two new bathrooms, kitchen, and new double glazed wooden windows. The property unlike a lot of village houses has windows to all sides allowing plenty of light to flood in. Also a large roof terrace accessed from the kitchen to a covered area, ideal for some shade for alfresco dining, there are views of the Sierra Lujar Mountain range, also the Mulhacen and open countryside a rare space to have in the Alpujarra. The main half glazed wooden entrance door leads into a large sitting room with fireplace, window to the South elevation, and a glazed door to the East leading out onto a small balcony area. There is a traditional chestnut and slate ceiling, slate flooring with thick stone walls as traditionally used in these local houses. Off this room a sliding concealed glazed door leads through to the kitchen, recently fitted to include wooden units and granite worktops, space for a table and chairs. Another door leads out onto the spacious roof terrace affording those wonderful views. Also off the sitting room there is access to a bedroom with an en- suite shower room with window. A set of stairs lead down to the lower level. Here there is a lovely room, which is really spacious which means it could be used as another sitting room or a variety of things. Off this room there is access to the other two bedrooms and the newly fitted family bathroom with walk in shower. Location The highest of the 'Three White Villages' in the Barranco de Poqueira, at 1,436m, Capileira is a good base for walking in the gorge itself or up to the Sierra Nevada. It's twisting, steep streets are dotted with many springs gushing with fresh mountain water and there are superb views of the Poqueira gorge and the Sierra Nevada everywhere you look. With a population of 600, it′s also the largest of the three villages in the Poqueira gorge – the others being Bubión and Pampaneira – and it has a good choice of accommodation and bars. Malaga airport around a two hour drive, and the beaches of the Costa Tropical around one hour.
