Land The plot is 30.600m2 much of which is natural land with trees and agave. There are some fruit trees, almond trees, herbs, grapevine, fig as well as ornamental plants such as roses. The farm is fairly remote and access is initially by main road and then off to a track which is part concrete and part natural. You’ll be around 15 minutes on the track before reaching the house and a total of 25 minutes drive to the nearest town with shops and bars. Even though we go in an ordinary car we’d suggest a 4 x 4 to ensure all year round access. A good sized section is allocated to an allotment with a chicken coup area just beyond. Directly outside the house is a covered area and near the grapevine another seating area with pergola and a wood store. A lovely outdoor kitchen with large pizza oven, sink, fridge and storage completes the outside areas. Property The house is two storey with double glazing that has in-built mosquito netting and blinds. There’s both a car port and a large garage. On the ground floor the floors are traditional slate stone and ceilings are wood with wood beams. Entry is directly into the large open plan sitting room with dining area. There’s a large wood burning stove which has a heat vent upstairs that gives heat to the main bedroom. A short passageway leads to a downstairs loo and then on to the fully fitted kitchen. The kitchen is very stylish with lots of prep space, cupboards under the worktop, a gas hob with extractor and electric oven. The two corner cupboards have automatic lighting when you open the doors. There’s a breakfast table and a good quality fridge/freezer. A door off the kitchen leads to the garage where you’ll find the machinery for the solar system and the pre-installation for the central heating. A full height, light and pretty staircase leads to the upper floor. The floors upstairs are quality wood and the ceilings are wood beamed with cream wood insets. The guest bedroom and bathroom and to the left of the stairs and the bedroom is a very good sized double room with high ceiling and views over the countryside. The bathroom is very pretty and tastefully tiled within the shower area. The main bedroom has a door in the corridor area which can be locked for privacy and the space has a large walk-in wardrobe with the bedroom at the end of the hall. It’s a large and light bedroom with high ceilings, and views over two aspects. The bathroom has a big walk-in shower with glass brick shower divider, decorative floor tiling, Andalucian style circular hand basin and exposed stone feature wall. Additional This is a beautiful house but the countryside location might feel too remote for some people. WIFI is installed and just needs to be reactivated. A mobile booster antenna would need to be installed for phone use. There is an antenna for Spanish terrestrial TV. Montefrio is 25 minutes and the large town of Alcala la Real at 30 minutes.
