Location:  Molvízar is a Spanish town and municipality located in the central-western part of the Costa Granadina region, in the province of Granada, autonomous community of Andalusia. It limits with the municipalities of Los Guájares, Salobreña and Ítrabo. Other nearby towns are Lobres and Jete. It is located 12 km from Motril and 70 km from Granada, very close to the Mediterranean coast, which is about 8 km away. It has about 3,400 inhabitants, although its population has recently been increasing with the arrival of numerous foreigners, most of whom go to look for work in agriculture or construction.
