Above everything else in the universe, villa Feliche is fun. The second you walk through the wrought iron gates, there is so much to see and so much to ponder. There is the Zen courtyard, with bonsai branches dipping over the serenity of the Buddha and the water fountain. And let’s not forget the main house, 143m2 of beautifully designed and laid out internal space, full of imagination and classy touches. Once you walk through the little gabled entrance foyer, you are into colonial elegance, a lovely lounge area that invites you to sit down and read a few chapters of War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy. The kitchen has oodles of rustic charm, colorful mosaics dotting the walls, a pantry and because this property is full of exits and entrances, permeability being high on the list of advantages, the kitchen leads directly onto the al fresco breakfast area. In fact the master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and bathroom, also leads onto the breakfast terrace. Back to the lounge area, there is a small hallway that leads to two other spacious, wood pannelled bedrooms in pastel blue, a shared bathroom and also here we have a door that leads us onto the rolling gardens of this amazing property. There is the elevated viewing terrace with great mountain views, the pizza oven and barbecue, the steps leading onto the lower gardens where you have a fish pond overflowing with lilies and a rock waterfall. In every corner of the property, which is 7,881m2 of fenced land, there are wonderful details. There is also an external bathroom with shower which works in conjunction with the Yurt. Essentially well thought out. Electricity is from solar energy and there is numerous cisterns that collect rainwater (30,000lt) and the property is near the market town of Camarles at 7km and the popular beachside resort of Ampolla with its many beaches at 13kms. In terms of charm and design, is something special and well worth a visit.
